Inspirational story
This is Hashim. He has Cerebral Palsy. Hashim first came to our farm for hippotherapy around 5 years ago. I remember our first meeting so well. He entered the farm crawling on his hands and feet, as he could not stand up straight to walk. He was a very cheerful, and cheeky little boy, despite of his disabilities.
While he was sitting so proudly on the horse, I asked him if he attended school.....he said that he had started school, but didn't want to go back, because all the children taunted him and called him an animal, because he 'walked on all fours'.
He has worked so hard in his hippotherapy sessions. And I am so proud to have been there with him through the progress of him first being able to walk upright with two people holding him for support....then one person supporting him.....then walking (and falling down, and getting straight back up) all by himself, and now walking and running, independently!!!!!!
He is now happy to go back to school. But takes Wednesday morning off to come for his hippotherapy sessions.
As you can see in the photo, he has such a lovely smile... I know the reason behind his happiness....and now, you do too!!!

Clean Sudan.....one bottle at a time!!!
Big THANK YOU to The Purple Crayon Nursery (parents and teachers) for collecting a whole lot of plastic bottles for our....'clean Sudan.....one bottle at a time' campaign.
Our Mission.....and how you can help.
Our mission, is to help Sudanese special needs children improve their lives, through the use of hippotherapy and play therapy.
A large majority of Sudanese children, mainly with Cerebral Palsy, live within their own little space in the world, and never get a chance to have a 'normal life'. Most are kept at home, with very little interaction with the outside world.
Here at Miracles Sudan, we are striving to change this......with a little help from you!!
Few people realize the costs involved in running a successful, hippotherapy center. But someone once said; “Money is like manure; it's not worth a thing unless it's spread around encouraging young things to grow!” Here at the farm, there’s certainly a surplus of manure, but unfortunately a deficit of money! I hope you can personally help change that equation.
With increased funds, our ability to provide hippotherapy to more needy children obviously increases. Herbert Hoover declared “Children are our most valuable natural resource.” I’m confident that with your support and the marvellous facilities we have envisioned for Miracles Sudan, together, we can harvest the true potential of our most valuable natural resource, and give hope to many.
Thank you in advance for your support. Author Anne Frank said, “No one has ever become poor by giving.”
Please call me, Jane-anne, if you have any questions or comments about Miracles Sudan, hippotherapy or the amazing work we do here. I can be reached at 0918215592 or by email miraclessudan@yahoo.co.uk

To help raise money for our hippotherapy program, we have started a new campaign, 'Clean Sudan....one bottle at a time'.
The idea is, that people collect their empty plastic bottles, and donate them to us. When we have collected enough (40,000), the recycling company will collect them from us and give us a payment for them.
